The Sunshine Award

Natalie of Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens has awarded me!  Thank you, Natalie! :)

Now, without further ado, here are my answers to her questions.
1. What would you do on a rainy (but not stormy) day?
Ummm...I like to sit against a window and read or watch the rain fall.  (I also still sometimes race the raindrops...don't judge. :P)  Running around outside is nice too, and pretending that one is a Very Fine Lady with an umbrella...er, parasol. :P
2. Heels or flats?
Flats.  I can't stand heels.
3. Is there any particular music/song that ever gives you chills from the beauty or inspiration of it?
"Let It Go" would be a big one, as well as "Defying Gravity".  Also, "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "Never Say Goodbye," and "Amazing Grace".
4. Would you find a mud battle hilariously fun or positively gross?
Positively gross till I got into it, and then I'd probably have a lot of fun.
5. Is there anything you feel God has taught you over the past year?
That He's always there, and that His peace is yours for the asking.   I've been struggling with some anxiety issues, and the moment when I realized that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding" could be mine...that was huge.
6. Favorite sidekick/best friend character from literature?
Really???  Why???  Gahhh...I can never answer this question.  Combeferre from  Les Mis, Galinda from Wicked, Tacy and Tib from the Betsy-Tacy books, and Bucky from Captain America are a few of the biggest ones.  Oh, and Pascal from Tangled. :D
7. What do you like to do for exercise?
I used to run, but I don't do it much anymore.  Let's see...I like to ride my bike, and ride horses, and pretend to be Enjolras flopping over a barricade, and run up and down the stairs dramatically singing, "Down Once More" or "Let It Go".  Haha...
8. A favorite movie/TV show nobody would expect you to like?
That depends on who it is that's not expecting it. :P  Let's see...um...I guess it might come as a surprise to some people that I quite like Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. It kind of surprises ME that I like it, so...
9. E-mailing, telephoning, texting, or snail mail?
I don't text at all, so that's out--and I'm not much good at calling people on the phone--so I'd have to say...it's a toss-up between email and snail mail.  Emailing is much quicker, but letters are more personal.  I guess I'd say letters as personal preference, but I use email more 'cause it's so convenient.
10. Describe your dream dress:
Ummm...haha, I've never really thought too much about that.  Something Regency-ish, and maybe light pink or violet, with silver...and puffed sleeves!  We love puffed sleeves. ;)  That aside, I do love Flounces and Frills and skirts that spin out when you twirl.
11. Favorite Biblical name?
For girl names...I've always liked Miriam and Esther and Ruth.  For boys, I like Isaac and Ezra and Aaron.  Okay, so maybe that was more than one...

Thanks so much for nominating me! I don't do tags on my blog anymore, but I'll answer your questions in the comments (even though you probably know my thoughts on most of the answers) :) (btw, your mention of Bucky/Captain America made me squee inside)...

~Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? (And what's your favorite song to play?) Um...I kinda practice the piano? Sometimes? But I can't really play any songs. I do enjoy picking out favorite songs, note by note, on the piano. I've done a fair amount from Les Mis and Frozen, but nothing outstanding. And I can also play a few basic hymns.
~Dream vacation? PARIS. Also swinging by England and the US of A to see all my best friends.
~What's the time period you most like to read about? Ehehehe...WWI and WWII. Also Regency times.
~If you could steal one character's wardrobe for a day, whose would you pick and why? (Bonus question: where would you go in your new clothes?) Emma Woodhouse from Emma 2009. I'd probably stick at home, since everyone would look at me oddly if I went out ;)
~Do you sew, and if so (sink me!), what? Nope. I don't. I mean, I *have* done some little sewing projects with my mom's help, but I couldn't do anything on my own (*cue LM music*)
~Do you write or read poetry much? I don't really like reading poetry, but ever so often the inspiration strikes to write some. I like writing the stuff much better than reading it, for some reason. In fact...I feel the mood to write some coming on me right now.
~What Jane Austen character do you think would be the easiest/most fun to swap places with? Fanny Price. Because I'm so introverted.
~Thoughts on tea? I hate the stuff :P I can tolerate fruit/berry tea, but I much prefer coffee or hot chocolate.
~Favorite funny quote? How can I ever pick ONE? Pretty much anything from Despicable Me. OH. There is one in DM2 where a girl asks Gru why he's so fat, and he says "Because my house is made of candy and sometimes I eat it instead of facing my problems." LOVE that one =)
~Has any book completely surprised you with its quality (i.e. have you ever read a book that you thought would be bad and turned out to be good, or vice versa)? Um...The Book Thief? I knew it was well written, but I didn't realize *how* well until I actually read it. And Rilla of Ingleside. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. Or there's that Swept To Sea book that I thought I might enjoy but it turned out SO awful :P
~What's your favorite imaginary creature (if you have one)? Do unicorns in general count? 'Cause if they do, that's my choice. If not, I don't know.

These were fun! :)

I so enjoyed reading your answers!
Oh, I totally agree with you on your answer to #1! that's what I would do too! :) Aw yes, Tacy and Tib! Love them! Have you read the other books by Maud Hart Lovelace about Carney and Emily Webster? Hahaha, the mention of Lego Ninjago made me laugh. My brother was obsessed with that for a while. Do you have a brother?
I love those Biblical girl names!

Ehehehe...ohhh, Gru, I wish that was my house. :P
Yup! I love unicorns. I just learned three new facts about you! ;)
~Galanna.

Natalie,
Hehe, I have several brothers and a sister and they're ALL obsessed with Ninjagos. I pretty much have no choice. ;) Yes, I have read the rest of MHL's books--they're sooo good. I love them. =)
Me too! Glad you enjoyed my answers! :)

Lady Eowyn,
Yes! I much prefer English; I tried Western for a bit and I don't like it much. :P How about you?
